Create a USER and
Assign responsibility in Oracle Apps.
If you want to access oracle application then you need to
have an account, If you have system administrator responsibility then you can
create accounts for others.
Below are the steps
for creating user account.
Navigation
System Administrator
Security
User
Define
Give the User
name, for e.g. ORAAPPS
Input your password
and hit tab or enter then it will again ask to input the same password.
Password length should be more than or equals to
eight characters.
PASSWORD
EXPIRATION section you can mention the number of days for password
expiration.
If the user is setup is HRMS (HCM) then you can
assign the user name in PERSON text
box, it will automatically populate the EMAIL
ID and FAX number of the user.
In EFFECTIVE
DATEsection you can mention the start date (Start date will be default to
sysdate or you can mention desired date) and end date for the account.
Now you can assign the required
responsibilities.
To assign the responsibilities, Input the resp. name and press tab it will
automatically fetch the application
and description from database and if
you want to assign any security profiles to that responsibility then you
mention the same in security group
box.
In effective
date section mention the start date (Start date will be default to sysdate
or you can mention desired date) and end date for the responsibility.
Now save the record.
User has been created.
Login to oracle apps; input your new username
and password.
For the first time it will ask to change your
password
Input your current password and new passwords.
