Types of Roles in Oracle Applications

          Oracle Apps Technical

1. A Technical consultant will review and understand the functional documents like MD050, CV040 and etc.
2. Based on the understanding of functional documents technical consultant will prepare the technical documents like MD070 (Covers reports and interfaces), CV060 (Conversions).
3. After the approval of technical docs, Technical consultant will start the development of reports, forms, packages, procedures, functions, workflows; shell scripting, OAF pages and etc.

         Oracle Apps Functional

1. A Functional consultant will understand the Business requirement, Business Functionality, daily business transactions and etc.
2. A Functional consultant is also responsible for preparing the functional documents such as MD050 (Module Document), BR100 (Business Requirements), CV040 (Conversions), TE010 (Testing Documents).
3. A Functional consultant is responsible for doing the functional setups in application such as bank, client, supplier’s setups and etc.

         Oracle Apps DBA

1. DBA’s are also responsible for applying the patches.
2. Cloning of instances is also done by DBA’s.
3. Deployment of objects is also done by DBA’s
4. Oracle apps DBA’s responsibilities are to install the Oracle applications.

        Oracle Apps Techno-Functional

1. Oracle apps techno-Functional consultant will play the role of both oracle apps technical and functional consultants.

An implementation project includes the development of a new project from scratch or moving from legacy systems to oracle applications.

         Migration Project

Moving from old version to new version comes under migration project.
